No pants, sunshine, diggin'... that's January in Texas (the best kind of January - the holidays are past, the snuggly White Christmas songs are through, you know you'd like to be warm already).
Elise was in the mix too - dipping her bink in the sand. Ick!
Eventually I did talk him into pants.
So, Caleb's been learning about computers from Daddy lately. He's taken to them like a nerd to, well computers. I had to laugh at this so-little-sister moment tonight:
This could be Elise or me.... Little Sis sees Big Bro doing something cool & really wants to be apart of it (even if it is too big for her). The Golden Moments of Little Sis's childhood are when Big Bro lets her in on the moment or helps her understand. Most moments are not like that & neither was this. Just seconds after I snapped the pic, Caleb elbowed Elise in the chest & sent her stumbling back.
I should mention that computer privileges are earned by good behavior & are limited with a timer. Tonight when the timer went off Caleb didn't want to quit his game (it's Dora the Explorer).
Me: Caleb, you earn time on the computer. If you don't listen when it's time to quit then you won't get to play anymore.
Caleb: (Clicks the X, clicks 'Yes' to quit) Bye Dora.
What a good choice, all on his own - but I couldn't believe how Caleb navigated out of that game! I didn't teach him that, normally I just close it for him. Crazy! I guess he's got a little Dad in him after all.

A little Dad in him? I have been with them both on adventures and I can say with certainty there is more than just a little Dad in him.
I love the 'computer' pic with your narration. Reminds me of being a little Big Bro myself -- especially the part about NOT always being great at including Little Sis. :$
