Forget the Princess & the Pea, we're talking a toddler & the boulder

Especially considering the fact that this pic wasn't a step, but rather a happy girl dancy-skip. Elise LOVES to be outside.

The kids & I went to the park for a little while today. The wind was up so we didn't stay too long, but long enough for an adventure or two:

I think with each baby there's a certain body part that you just adore as their Mom. For Elise, it's her fingers. I'm just obsessed with them.  Even as a baby she was so delicate & feminine with how she used her fingers - stretching out one at a time so inquisitively, but not overbearing.

 Squat low...
...then pop up!  Good exercise for us ladies with junk in the trunk. : )
We can't forget that Caleb was there too:
The theme of the day for Caleb was climb up, then slide down belly style:

It was a hoot!  On the big slide I had to be there to catch him though or he'd have gone flying off!
In the time it takes for a 3 year old to come down a slide (what is that, like 0.7 seconds?) Elise disappeared under the equipment.  I caught Caleb, then went around to find the lady.  When I met up with her by the stairs her cheeks were popping & even her eyes were bulging. When I asked her what she was up to she smiled, but not the gummy-fang smile we love... it was a rock solid smile. THIS rock to be specific:

Look at the size of that thing!  It filled her whole mouth!  Lucky thing too, since it was too big to be swallowed.  So there she is - our Toddler & the Boulder.

I told ya'! I guess it is just hard for a Mom to admit that her baby is growing up.
